The Ventura Invitational course navigates from the Santa Monica Bay to the Ventura Marina. Vessels from out of the area sometimes spend the preceding night in Marina del Rey. It is considered a feeder to the Oakley. The hospitality of the Ventura Yacht Club is well known and this contest has become a favorite amongst log racers.

| Moorage: | Slips available in Marina del Rey by arrangement with local YC’s. Ventura YC provides moorage at their Club for Friday night & possibly the weekend. |
| Observers: | Skippers supply their own qualified observers. |
